High Points of the Valley
It’s been more than 20 years, but state lawmakers have finally returned to Parkersburg for an interim session that will feature plenty of exposure to local sights, schools, and industry. More than just a chance for members of the legislature to learn more about the Mid-Ohio Valley, this visit also means that approximately 200 people will be filling hotel rooms, such as those at the Blennerhassett Hotel downtown, and dining at local restaurants. "Everyone has jumped in, and Parkersburg is ready to shine," said Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau President and CEO Mark Lewis. As we warmly welcome lawmakers to our communities, we hope they will leave with a deeper insight into not only our challenges but also our successes. Furthermore, those who made such an opportunity possible deserve commendation. By showcasing what our region has to offer, we aim to foster stronger connections between lawmakers and our local community. Ultimately, this visit represents a significant step toward greater understanding and collaboration for the future.
