Blennerhassett Donation Policy and Application Guidelines

At The Blennerhassett, we take pride in contributing to local non-profit fundraisers and community events. As a Small Veteran-Owned business, we are dedicated to supporting as many organizations as possible. However, as a small company with limited resources, we are unable to fulfill every request due to the high number submitted annually.

Eligibility for Blennerhassett Donations

Organizations Eligible for Donations:

    • Donations are considered for groups officially registered as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
    • If your event is held at a 501(c)(3) venue, but the receiving organization is not registered, we are unable to process your request.
    • Requests from schools, churches, and non-profit civic groups registered as 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organizations will also be considered.

Exclusions for Donations:

The Blennerhassett appreciates every request and understands the varying needs in our community; however, the following are not eligible for donations:

    • Fundraisers for individual persons or families, even in cases of severe illness, due to the overwhelming number of personal requests.
    • Sponsorships for pageants or pageant participants.
    • Contributions to school yearbooks or annual sports fundraisers, including items such as calendars, t-shirts, or footballs.
    • Donations or sponsorships for For-Profit Groups or Organizations.
    • Sponsorships for golf holes at events.

Donation Details

What The Blennerhassett Provides:

    • Approved donations will be in the form of giftware or products from our retail shops.
    • Please note that we do not provide cash donations or sponsorship funds for events or functions.

How to Apply for a Donation

To apply for a donation, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit a Formal Request
    • Write a formal request on your official 501(c)(3) letterhead detailing your event and organization.
    • Email your request to concierge@theblennerhassett.com, or drop it off at our location.
  1. Include All Pertinent Details
    • Clearly outline the date and purpose of your event.
    • Specify how The Blennerhassett will be promoted during or at the event.
  1. Adhere to Deadlines
    • Submit your request at least five weeks in advance of your non-profit event date to allow adequate processing time.
  1. Review Process
    • Our Community Giving Team will review requests based on their potential to reach and impact as many people as possible.
    • Approved recipients will be contacted to arrange the pickup of their gifts. Please note that we are unable to reach out to organizations whose requests are not approved.

    The calm atmosphere of downtown Parkersburg is perfect for long walkiwoos! Maps provided. Dogs welcome in public areas, not in Restaurant, Lounge, or Patio & Courtyard.

    A $65 fee per stay is required for one dog and $30 for a second dog. Maximum of two dogs allowed. Check-in with dogs at Front Desk and receive a “Woof!” Welcome Kit.

    Dogs only allowed, must be leashed in public areas, clean up after pets. Owner must supervise pets and are responsible for any damage. The hotel may remove dogs for improper behavior.
