The Blennerhassett Hotel and Spa is proud to work with the Humane Society of Parkersburg to help local dogs. Our love for dogs drives us to make a real difference for them and the community.
We’ve transformed part of our hotel into a cozy spot for dogs looking for families. Guests from our hotel, restaurant, and spa can meet, spend time with, and possibly adopt these friendly pups.
Since we started in March 2023, seven dogs have already found loving homes. It’s a joy to see new families form.
The pet fees you pay at our hotel go straight into helping these dogs and supporting our community efforts.

Festival of Trees and United Way of West Virginia
For over 30 years, the Parkersburg Festival of Trees has brought Christmas sparkle to the Blennerhassett Hotel with its annual grand display. The community comes together to decorate, unveiling the trees during a lighting ceremony that also features fun activities like the “Trimmed!” contest and a special breakfast event for children.
Proceeds from the festival benefit the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley, supporting local causes that make a real difference. Learn about their significant work and efforts on the United Way website under “What We Do” and “Our Initiatives”.
